Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Leaks in Live Photo, Shows Tri Bezel-Less Design

As September 11 launch of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is approaching the leaks about this device are also increasing from a steady pace. After a number of previous leaks which disclosed its famously bezel-less design and other major features now a new leak has come out showing us what it may look like when held in hand.

A new live photo of the device has leaked, showing its tri bezel-less design. You can see the image below and get a feel of what it’s going to look and work like:

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Leak Image

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Leak Image

As you can see, it’s a device that’ll take the bezel-less game to an all new level. With a screen-to-body ratio higher than all smartphones launched till date, Mi Mix 2 is taking us a step a closer to achieving that true bezel-less design which many companies have strived to achieve till now.

Based on the previous leaks, the other specs expected to be a part of this flagship offering include Snapdragon 835/836 processor, 6GB of RAM, 6.2-inch display with 2,960 x 1,440 px resolution, 20mp dual-lens primary camera and latest Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.

The battery of Mi Mix 2 is likely to be around 4,400 mAh, and internal storage around 256GB. In a nutshell, it’s gonna be a jaw-dropping flagship!

It’s also worth elaborating that while it was earlier rumored to come with Snapdragon 836 processor, that’s unlikely to happen as Qualcomm hasn’t yet announced the processor officially while Mix 2’s launch date is just a week away now. So we should assume that it’s going to come with Snapdragon 835 and not 836 processor. That doesn’t make much difference though, as 836 would just have been an incremental upgrade over 835.

We’ll continue to share more details about Mi Mix 2 with you as they come out, so keep checking back.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Coming Earlier Than Expected to Compete With iPhone 8

Waiting for Galaxy S9? Well, there’s some serious good news for you. Probably your wait just got much shorter than it would have been in traditional case, as Samsung is rumored to launch Galaxy S9 much before than expected.

The news has just come out, and a big one for Samsung fans as It’s in much awaited upcoming phones. (Dear Apple, are you listening?).

That’s right – the word is out that Samsung is doing everything possible to launch Galaxy S9 in January. This information has come from South Korean site The Investor, which said from citation of another Korean site The Bell that Samsung has pushed the date forward to defend itself against the aggressive capturing of market by iPhone 8, which is due for a release within next two weeks. So while we had expected Galaxy S9 to be released at MWC in February, the company doesn’t want to wait until then.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Release Date

Samsung Galaxy S9 Release Date

The Bell states in its report that Samsung OLED, the display-making arm of Samsung Group, will start supplying OLED panels to Samsung Mobile in November. That’s two months earlier than the supply schedule of Galaxy S8, for which OLED panels were supplied from January this year. The device launched two months later in March.

If OLED panels for Galaxy S9 start to be supplied from November, then a January release will be pretty much confirmed. OLED panels are supplied before other items like cameras and sensors etc., and full assembly of phones takes anywhere between 2-3 months after the supply of panels. Earlier we also reported that Galaxy S9 is coming with 8GB Ram.

The rumors of early release had first emerged way back in April, when Samsung started OLED manufacturing process for the device. That was 3-4 months ahead of the traditional schedule. The project name “Star” also came out in public, and collectively these two leaks hinted that Galaxy S9 manufacturing process had already started.

Now, if Samsung Galaxy S9 is launched in January, we can safely expect it to hit the shelves by mid-February. The wait got slightly less, and excitement got slightly high with this leak.

Galaxy S9 is expected to come with Snapdragon 845 processor, modules, more bezel-less design and possibly an under-display fingerprint sensor. Let’s hope for the best!
