Huawei is shrewdly positioning Honor as a brand on which you can rely when you want the most bang out of your buck. The latest products of the company live up to those standards. Take Honor 7X for an example. The device was launched recently for a price tag of $200 with all the features that one may want in a phone. Gorgeous full metal design, large display with narrow bezel s and dual lens camera – all are present in this relatively affordable smartphone, which leaves us with hardly any reason to ignore this beast. In this article, we’ll take a detailed look at this device and figure out every single detail about it that you may want to know. Let’s begin:
The device, which is the successor to company’s last year offering Honor 6X, has got a flawless and premium looking design. With rounded corners, narrow edges and all metal body it’s a design you would want to hold in your hand. It’s also surprisingly tough though, with its narrow corners designed in such a way that they can absorb shocks. And despite all of this the Honor 7X is surprisingly lightweight, easy to be used single-handedly and with the blue color it also looks quite unique in itself.
Coming to the specs of Honor 7X, it has got everything that you may expect from a $200 smartphone. In some areas even more than that actually. Honor’s new 7X comes with a 5.9-inch Edge-to-Edge display having 2,160 x,1080 px resolution, company’s own Kirin 659 chipset, 4GB RAM, 64G3B storage space and expandable storage up to 256GB. For photography, it has got a 16mp+2mp dual-lens primary camera capable of taking photos in Portrait mode, and an 8mp secondary camera to help you capture great selfies. The device comes with Android 7.1 having company’s own EMUI 5.1 ROM on the top, and 3,340 mAh battery.
Finally, it’s great to see that it’s still one of those smartphones which haven’t abandoned the headphone jack in favor of other BS. The company has also included its own Listen to Audio Settings in the device, which provide 3D surround sound on headphones. That’s something which majority of phones in the same price bracket don’t offer.
Honor 7X is available in all major markets, including US, UK, China, and India. In India, it’s an Amazon exclusive, while in the US it’s available offline as well. The only thing about it is that it’s a GSM network-based device so it won’t work with operators of other technologies. For example, it won’t work with Sprint and Verizon in the US.
