We’ve been hearing about the three Moto G6 smartphones from quite some time now. We know that there will be a Moto G6 Play this year besides Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus. We also know that this Play version will actually be the most affordable one in entire range of 3, and we also have information about its possible specs.
The only thing remaining was a look of the device, and now that thing has also come out, thanks to the collaboration between comparison website Compare Raja and famous leaker OnLeaks.
Yes – the renders of Moto G6 Play have leaked online, which you can see in the image gallery given above. The device is shown with a screen having 18:9 aspect ratio, but it doesn’t have very narrow bezels. The bezels are certainly narrower than they used to be, but they’re nowhere close to where other manufacturers are going these days. The front facing home button, which used to double up as fingerprint sensor, is gone. Instead of it there’s Motorola branding on the chin of device, which makes me wonder why they didn’t make that bezel even narrower. It’s narrower than it used to be, but it could’ve been a little more.
The top bezel houses what it’s suppose to house – selfie camera, sensors, earpiece and LED flash. It has also got narrower like the bottom bezel. On the back there’s single lens primary camera with same circular design, but this time there’re vertical strokes around the circle just like Moto X4. Below the camera lens there’s a fingerprint sensor with company’s famous batwing M logo on it.
The device doesn’t look like a budget or mid-range device. It looks premium, and according to OnLeaks it’s likely to be made of glass. But the thing is that Motorola has never used glass to craft the back of its mid-range or budget smartphones, so it’s less likely to happen. I think it will be polished metal, just as it has been on other Motorola mid-range smartphones launched till date.
If you wish, you can take a 360 degree view of the device in video given below:
In case you don’t know, Moto G6 Play is rumored to come with a Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, 5.7-inch HD display and 4,000 mAh battery. It’s expected to come in two different memory configurations – 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage. The device is rumored to be priced around 12K INR (less than $200 in US), and it may be launched at Mobile World Congress alongside G6 and G6 Plus. We’ll let you know when that happens.
