It’s just a matter of few days, and the Samsung Galaxy S9 will be official. The fans of the company around the world are super excited about this device, and that includes company’s fans in Australia and New Zealand as well. If you’re also one of those excited Samsung fans from any of these countries, you may also be wondering what will it cost and when will it be released in your respective country. While nobody knows anything with certainty, we can give you some educated guesses. Interested? Okay, let’s have a look then:
Samsung Galaxy S9 Price in Australia and New Zealand
Based on what we’ve heard, Samsung Galaxy S9 is going to cost around $800 in the United States. That’s around 1,000 AUD and 1,400 NZD. However, this is way less than the price at which Galaxy S8 was launched in these countries. To recall, Galaxy S8 was launched at a price of 1,199 AUD in Australia and 1,299 NZD in New Zealand, so Galaxy S9 will certainly cost more than these price points. Hopefully, we can expect it to be priced something like this:
- More than $1,300 in Australia;
- And more than $1,400 in New Zealand.
The exact prices will be known when the device is launched, and we’ll update this post when that happens.
Release Date in Australia and New Zealand
Samsung is in a bit of hurry this time. Since no major company is launching its flagship products at MWC this year, the South Korean giant wants to capitalize on this opportunity by releasing the device in as many markets as possible within two weeks of its launch. So hopefully both Australia and New Zealand will get it within two weeks of the official launch at MWC. More details, as you may know already, will be revealed by the company at launch event itself, and we’ll update them here when we come to know about them.
Samsung Galaxy S9 Specifications
In case you don’t know, Samsung Galaxy S9 will be similar to its predecessor in design but internally it will have many new things. The biggest ones among those new things will be Snapdragon 845 processor, variable aperture lens for primary camera and a new facial recognition feature. Other specs and features of device will include 4GB RAM, 5.9-inch Infinity display with 2K resolution and a 3,500 mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor of device will this time be located centrally below the camera, and as you can imagine, it is a better choice than the one that Samsung had made last year.
